I haven't read all this thread, so probably missed a lot.
I believe it should be possible for people from different faiths and backgrounds to live together without giving up their own religions, faiths, cultures. It happens in other countries, why not the UK?
I've just realised that our 2 eldest, sons, are proof of this to some extent. They both teach in international schools, one in Kuwait, and the other in India.
Their early childhood was spent in Singapore, maybe that's something to do with it.
So I don't agree with the oath on British values for immigrants.
