Oh how I wish in time the flash crash in the pound turns out to be as some suspect all down to the dreaded 'Computer Algorithms'.

Just had a crash in my own pound situation, as my Avon rep came to the door and had to cough up £20 ( forgotten I had ordered anything) only 35p left in purse for the moment.

Hardly new. The word remoaners has been used ever since the referendum, if not before.

I don't think I've been moaning about Brexit - in fact I'm benefitting from the drop in value of the pound. What I've talked about is the projection in the future of events which are happening at the moment. What would be really helpful is if someone would do the same from the point of view of Brexit - where do you see the country in one/two/three years time?

Thought Bamford was more inclined towards reducing working hours/redundancies. A couple of years ago it was because of a drop in global demand. He's obviously found some new markets.

CBI says workers will lose £3700 from Brexit. He makes enough profit to make up for it, until, of course, he has to start paying 10% extra import and export taxes.
Why is realism always seen as moaning?

Noticed today that house prices in Denmark have risen and interest rates dropped because of Brexit.
That's not moaning.

I know some JCB employees,
They are very happy & proud to work for the company.
They benefit from health care
The company runs a cycle scheme
If you cycle to work they will pay towards a new bicycle.
They also run school academy
They provide work experience which can follow on to good apprenticeships.
The main factory is beautiful surroundings.
I could go on.
My point is that JCB do care about their work force.

I think "remoaners" are twinned with "brexshitters", and I am sure some would complain if we started using that term. I note that the pound was lower than the Euro yesterday. Say no more.

I thought the same when I saw "remoaners" appear suzied.
Interesting to se The Times headline today saying the Hard Brexit could cost £66 billion a year.
Very clear that the cost of living will start to go up soon because of the weak pound / cost of imports.
On a brighter note it is good to see the House of Commons (including leave campaigners) waking up to the attempt to by-pass Parliament in the discussions around the type of Brexit that the Government is planning.
The idea that you campaign to regain sovereignty and then ignore the sovereignty of Parliament is beyond belief.
The reality of life in a post-fact world I guess.

mamie the claim on GN was that the vote was largely for sovereignty (and not immigration) so they must be somewhat alarmed at the intention of the coterie of 3+1 to decide the entire future of the UK on their own and by-pass the sovereignty of parliament. Looking at them piss up in a brewery springs to mind.

Indeed. Liked the way it was pointed out to David Davis that his statement to the House was the same as the one he made last time.
Love the way they keep talking about the "overwhelming majority" for Brexit. Er - 2% is not an overwhelming majority. Of course if it had gone the other way it would have been a slender minority.

If it had gone the other way, we had already been told that another vote was to be expected.
The reason that Davis etc have nothing to say is because they are desperately waiting for the civil service to come up with some ideas. Meanwhile they are in a holding pattern (they hope).
