A rare event, but don't be alarmed!

I was considering voting for the Green Party in the next election until I saw this ad. If it was meant to make a serious political point then it has clearly failed. I want to be convinced that Green policies will be good for the country but this ad is telling me that they are simply the best of a bad lot. So disappointing. I will have to think again about who to vote for.
I don't think the children are either sweet or exploited. I think they are actors from a stage school.

It is a lot easier to rubbish what someone else is doing than to do better yourself. Airy-fairy rhetoric is cheap.

I agree with bags - and also with sunseeker's point. I too am fed up with politicians' propaganda consisting of rubbishing other parties rather than telling us of their plans and achievements.

I think the children probably had a great time but did find the whole thing silly and pointless. Instead of making fun of other political parties I would have preferred to hear how the Greens would actually make their policies work.

Minibags sent me a link. I did not like it at all and I feel a bit disgusted with the Greens for orchestrating it.

I saw this last night, I thought it was a clever concept and it did make me smile.

I thought it was mildly funny, but think the Greens are even funnier.

Well I liked it. I don't think you can describe home made cardboard rockets as Weapons of War - they were just having fun.

I think it was quite sweet. Just a bunch of cute little kids obviously enjoying themselves. What's not to like about it?

I don't think it'll effect the children. To them it'll just be another fairy story.

Not sure what to think. Do party political adverts ever persuade anyone to change allegiance at all?
I presume they do in the USA, but not sure they do here.

What I found distasteful was directing children to kick flowers, play games with models of weapons of war etc. Not great in my book!

I agree Luckygirl. It was completely tasteless, pathetic and frankly ridiculous.

I am just watching this on TV - I think it is gross. What must the children be learning from this? I would not have allowed a child of mine to be part of it. I think it is an error of judgement on the part of the Green Party. They have shot themselves in the foot.
