dj- some pensions are indexed linked, some are not. We are on the lucky side.
As Mamie says, many of us made our mind on many things due to being part of the EU. Switzerland is not btw, but has reciprocal agreements with the EU which give us more or less the same rights. As Mamie also explains, if the £ tumbles if the UK gets out of EU- that 1.25 million of Brits abroad (of which I am one, whatever some may say here- as I rely totally on UK pension and UK savings) will probably have no choice but to return anyhow.
We have already lost 40% of our income due to exchange rate- if the £ tumbles we will just have to go back. The £ was 2.50 to the pound when we moved, tumbled 2 years ago to 1.18 for a while and now back to about 1.45.
But our decision to vote to stay in is not just about our income at all- but because we both genuinely believe it would be best for the UK.
We can't get old style light-bulbs here either, and we are not part of Europe. About recycling, again - please could someone answer- what will happen when very very soon, the UK has totally run out of landfill space?
Do you want your grand-children to grow up on a landfill site?
