It reminds me of the time Hilary Clinton baked chocolate chip cookies to try and demonstrate that she was just a housewife at heart - ha ha. She was under terrific fire at the time. I don't think Julia Gillard has been the best PM, and has broken several promises, but criticism of her has not been couched in terms of her policies and actions, but has been overwhelmingly sexist and disgusting. How about the quail dish that was named after her at a political dinner, because it had 'small breasts and big thighs.' I agree Greatnan Australia is increasingly out of step with the modern world in this regard.

I will probably be shot down in flames for this, but I heard on the news tonight that Julia Gillard has been ousted as PM of Australia. Just this morning I heard that she has said she is knitting a red kangaroo for the Cambridge baby.
She'll have more time for her knitting now then.
