when I understand he was an actor on Coronation Street, but I've never seen it. It hardly qualifies him as an expert on the subject of abuse or reincarnation, for that matter.
Silly old fool. I'd never heard of him. Was he any good as an actor? Why on earth would anybody bother to interview someone who is certainly a has-been and is probably a never wozzer simply because he has bizarre "religious" views? No victims of sexual or other abuse should even begin to feel upset by this plonker's absurd comments. He isn't worth the bother.
What puzzles me is the own goal he has scored......if what he says were to have any foundation, wouldn't he be terrified about what's in store for him in his next life??? Or is he saying that he can prevent it because he spreads love? He certainly spreads something, and it's not love! Wassock!
My first GC was born with a deformity at the time that Glen Hoddle made his statement and a difficult, indeed heartbreaking time for us all ,especially my DinL was made a hundred times worse by his unfeeling comment.
This is along the lines of Glen Hoddle saying a few years ago that disabled people must have sinned in a past life. It's fine to have a belief in reincarnation, but surely you keep your thoughts to yourself when it comes to subjects as sensitive as sexual abuse and disability.
I know he has some bizarre views, and as well as defending celeb abusers, William Roache has now announced that sexual abuse victims are being punished for previous sins. I think this 80-year old philanderer needs to keep his big mouth closed if all he can come out with is rubbish like that. I believe he is out of the country at the moment. I wouldn't like to be him when his plane touches back down in the UK!
