Does anyone feel that the cost (and quality) of childcare in this country is a major issue? Working mothers make a major contribution to business and public services and yet they are left to their own devices to find decent and affordable childcare. Also, when it is implied that older people are a drain on the state, their immense contribution in looking after their grandchildren seems to go largely unrecognised.
Someone I know shouldn't be driving. In my opinion.
