Why do these threads keep disappearing? Current ones are just dropped for no reason - it doesn't seem to be time-related or anything! angry

Just signed.

GNHQ - There's still a glitch on the GN site with threads randomly disappearing from active. I had to find this one on the forums list.

In yesterday’s Prime Minister Questions ...he was asked by a Brighton MP

“In December last year, this House passed a motion calling for a Bill to make urgent reforms to our deeply unfair extradition treaties. Nearly seven months later, there has been no Bill and no action. What makes the Prime Minister more uncomfortable: ignoring the will of the House for months on end or the plight of those facing imminent extradition?”

His answer was ...

“We held the 'Scott Baker' review, which looked carefully at the extradition arrangements. The hon. Lady should of course look at some of the cases that have caused concern, but I urge her to look also at the overall figures, which show that we are benefiting by being able to extradite people who have committed serious crimes from the US back to the UK. We continue to look at this issue. We will ensure that we do the right thing for our country, but people should not think that it is a very simple issue, because it is not.”

When and why have we extradited people from the USA? I thought the proof was harder for us to get someone from them, than us to send someone to themconfused

There are a few petitions on line, so I am going to sign all of them.
Blair certainly was Bush's poodle - I wonder what was in it for him?

Got there before me - I have signed and urged Facebook friends and reels to do likewise - I think it is utterly appalling that a UK citizen can get extradited to the US with no obligation on the part of the US to prove that any crime has been committed in their jurisdiction. Outrageous beyond belief. I think we have Blair to thank.
I was also appalled by the fact that a retired company director was recently extradited and is now in a Texas jail pending court action because someone used his company (allegedly) to ship some bit of kit that they , the US, think could potentially have been used in a way that might potentially have endangered the US. I think it was batteries.
Please sign this!
Imagine if it was your son or grandson that was being extradited without even knowing the charges or being able to give any account of himself. he will be put in a prison for months or years before they do anything. And we know what we think about US prisons don't we.
