Being controversal as I love to be!..I think global warming is a load of b.......the Thames was frozen over in the 17th cent. The Romans grew grapes in this country 2nd cent AD.All this is an excuse to hike energy bills massively, & cover our glorious country with repulsive wind farms.

Haven't read it all yet, saving it for this evening - but that is one very interesting graph!

Thanks, Bags, good article. Another one to add to my 'Let's not get too carried away' dossier!

I read an article recently which says there has been no significant heating up of the earth as predicted. I believe we should be doing what we can to conserve what resources are left but the idea that UK would have a Mediteranean climate were a bit wide of the mark.

Some time ago I was at a party with a scientist who was doing research into climate and I asked him to explain the thinking behind the man made global warming theory - he said that it was too complicated and I couldn't possibly understand it!!

The problem is that the people putting forward these theories are those doing the research and who obviously have an agenda to keep the funding for the research coming in.

Interesting article. I really hope Obama gets re-elected but I think, like the rest of us, he has been misled on this issue. I think the truth is slowly beginning to filter through. That's good and makes me more optimisitic about the future of humanity.
