Yes I learnt about it after I had claimed my pension. Could also have claimed as a Forces wife when EH was serving overseas with me on an accompanied tour. They keep this very quiet, until of course it’s too late to claim anything.

I have just been reading a thread on claiming Pension. It struck me that grans may not know that you can claim NI credits if you provide childcare for a child under 12. It was pure luck that someone told me about this and I was able to claim for some recent years When I
had insufficient credits. You have to claim before you get your pension.
