Having been told by my holiday insurance company they could no longer insure my changed health conditions I went into overdrive mode where I believed they were talking nonsense. It all boiled down to one question on the application form. Had I had a hospital visit in the last 12 months. When I informed them I was sent to the local hospital from my gp surgery for an ECG I asked if this would be classed as a hospital visit. The underwriter insisted it was. After making a complaint advising them the Scottish Governce said it wasn't and a letter from my local MSP the insurance company overturned their decision and agreed with everyone that it shouldn't be considered a hospital visit. I was then given a small monetary apology and quoted for next years health insurance. Worth fighting for common sense.
