Paula, thank you for the flowers. I'm going to bed now but I'll have another think about suggestions tomorrow. I'm sure that, between us all, we'll come up with something that you can do.
Morning Paula - woke up thinking maybe you could become a Gransnet Local editor? I don't know how it works and what, if any, the income is like, but I'm sure GNHQ could give you more info.
That is avery good idea, Dragonfly. It depends where Paula lives, of course, and whether there is already an editor. Going to the nearest local meetup and meeting some Gransnetters would be a start, even if it is not on the doorstep. Have you found out which is your nearest, Paula and who is editing that one?
Thank you Elegran. It was one of my better overnight ideas, I think. I did dream that she could do a plumbing course, but I don't think that would be practical.
Hollydaze The easiest way to contact GNHQ from the thread is just to report one of your own posts! ( Righthand link on the mauve/lilac strip above your post) Instead of reporting someone else for spam or whatever else has offended you, use the text box to write to them suggesting yourself as an editor. They will take it from there.
Can I just throw a bucket of cold water over things? I understand that yu are about to leave your husband/get divorced? Dont you think it may be best to get all that trauma sorted out, see what your financial position is, and then consider what you want to do? Dont do too many things at once, however tempting, it may be good to have some certainty in your life, at least for the short term. If I have misunderstood, or go the wrong person, I apologise.
Actually, Paula, that's probably good advice from GillT57; you do seem to have had a lot of previous traumas, so maybe you should wait till things are more stable.
