Can anyone recommend a salt mill that grinds consistently fine?

Thank you all for your help. I prefer a traditional looking wood grinder. I was going to buy the Peugeot one but it says that it is only for salt crystals up to 4 mm diameter and some of my Himalayan rock salt crystals are a bit larger than that so eventually I plumped for one from Cole & Mason. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this one sees me out.

I buy Jamie Oliver's too, never fails. I get it from Amazon.

I have just read the full report, and the JJ ones are equal first not with Nordic set.

Sadly my Le Creuset fell apart and gave up grinding.

I have just looked at Which? And this one comes out top, I’ve not heard of.

I had this problem until I bought a Joseph Joseph set which works brilliantly.

It sounds like you've had quite the journey finding a reliable salt mill!
Have you tried looking into specialty kitchen stores or brands known for durability?

I bought Oxo salt and pepper mills about 18 months ago, they're excellent, you choose the coarseness that suits you and it doesn't change. I bought them from Dunelm when they were on offer.

I've had a few different makes over the years, these are far better.

We have an electric salt and pepper mill set, it is very effective. It is rechargeable so no batteries to buy.

I have given up and use a mortar and pestle.

Le Creuset. I have had mine for over ten years. I use Cornish sea salt crystals. Adjusts for fineness.
