Inconsiderate parking

We have a fairly large drive, is is possible to get four cars on it if necessary. It is irritating if our visitors park on the pavement, almost blocking it, instead of parking on the drive.

Sadly, it’s first come, first served on most residential streets these days. As keepingquiet says, no-one owns the space on a public road.
Just a thought though, but if you are perhaps disabled, you could ask the local council to mark ‘your space’ as that?

If the space is on a public road then no one owns the spot in front of their house, it may be inconsiderate but it isn't illegal to park in front of your neighbours house. When I moved into my home the previous occupants had put up a no parking sign, which I took down.
If I get home and someone has parked outside my home I park wherever there is a space. I don't need the space if I'm not there1
