Years ago I had part of my garden fenced off and it was painted in a Cuprinol colour called Holly. It has needed repainting but the paint ran out a long time ago and I’ve bought several tins of green paint over the years trying to replicate it but none of them look right. Last week I went into a shop I’d driven past for years that has a big Cuprinol sign outside. They said if I could tell them the name of the paint they would contact Dulux ( who own Cuprinol) to see if they could still get it ( I couldn’t tell them the colour at the time). Anyway, I looked on the B&Q site and realised that, although the shops only sell the current colour range you can still buy old colours online.I can’t believe I never knew this before! The fence has looked shabby for years because I couldn’t find a colour that I liked.

Have to confess the lack of a colour we like has meant OH has never painted our fences, much to the disgust of a fussy neighbour. That and the awful mess another neighbour made with paint bleeding into our side - awful! Best left alone, OH says...
