I don't live in the UK so I won't recommend any brand but towels are something it's worth paying more for. Rather buy fewer, better quality than lots of cheap ones. If you will be using a tumble dryer they should have a really thick like and well sewn hems. I have some cheaper ones which have frayed in the dryer and better quality ones which are still thick and their edges are intact despite regular hot washing and tumble drying.
Even using a dryer, I find it is enough to give them half an hour there to soften them and reduce creases then hang them out - outside if it's sunny, in the boiler room if it's wet.
