I am sitting on a Parker knoll chair that my mother bought in the 1970s. She had it reupholstered at some point and then we inherited it. Our cat shredded it and about 10 years ago we bought a loose cover from thumbs. The cover is easy to wash and replace.
A new chair would be about £1200.
I might try cutting a pattern and making a new loose cover.
As always it's a question of knowing someone with the right skills. Or perhaps I might set up an online business supplying PK Queen Anne covers.
