Moving to North Cornwall - a village we know well, plot at the end of a cul de sac , 2 minute drive to our favourite beach.
Should have said all planning approved, building contractor ready to go but had to sub contract re. asbestos for obvious reasons. He said he would have popped pesky bat in a ventilated box and released it at dusk !
Annoying part being we had a bat survey done at considerable expense before work started which cleared the property for demolition.
Onwards and upwards !

I guess you have an architect to supervise the new housebuilding, make sure he does his job properly.
One tip, don’t change your mind as it progresses, alterations are very expensive.

I love bricks and looking at the design of houses. I’ve been following a neighbours remodel with interest.

Methinks a large mobile home on site might be useful.

Wow! What an undertaking. I'm always in awe of people who build their own homes (love Grand Designs). What kind of location is your new home in? How long is it likely to take? Have you done anything like this before? Keep us updated, this will be an interesting thread to follow.
