Spice, great news (about the house, if not your knee). Another one on here coming to a happy end. Shandy, you must be the next one. Not long now. Pittcity, hopefully, you will be there by Spring this year.
Do hope that Luckygirl looks into this thread, and will be also moving towards a successful conclusion. And, any others involved in this horrible experience of house selling/purchasing.
Perhaps this is not the time, - other things on the minds of our legislators - but. surely, over the next few years there really should be a proper review of this process in England and changes made. Perhaps all of us need to band together and form some sort of Association to actually drive this.
A file of the problems we have encountered, and many are so similar. Something to consider for the future. Does us all good, particularly at present, to actually be able to believe we will all have a future!!!
My eldest daughter, who Heads several NHS Mental Health teams in London, and has, (once again) not been permitted to go into her office due to her having a spleenectomy - has now been told that she will receive her first dose of the vaccine next week. I am so relieved - and so is she, and hopes that a fortnight later she will be able to return to her office and try to sort out her very much depleted teams of Nurses, O.T's, Social Workers, etc. etc. She has found it impossible to get Bank staff to cover and is tearing her hair out at home, trying to work remotely.
I am keeping myself busy and staying at home, as I am packing up all the things in my units in my Living Room and Hallway (including many books, etc) ready for my new flooring to be laid midway through February. The company tell me this work will still go ahead. All I will do is to let them each morning, and then leave them to it, and go to my daughters each day. When I come home in the evening, I will wipe everything down with Virusend, and go to bed.
