You might need to contact the vet to see their policy regarding getting an appointment. Ours is only doing emergencies, no vaccinations or general stuff. You have to hand the animal over to them from your car, they take it in for treatment and return it to you. Luckily we have never had a reluctant or anxious dog but I can imagine a few animals getting aggressive when they are scared. We did have a fighter cat who scratched the vet to pieces once.
