I used to have one of those Lumie "sunrise" lamps to wake up to each day and would spend 20 minutes or so under its full light before getting up. It did take the edge off my symptoms but, last year, it developed a fault and I scrapped it.
I've just replaced it with a Philips Energy-Up blue spectrum light. I've only been using it for 4 days so it's a little early to pass judgement but I think it is making a difference. My symptoms were pretty bad last week and I feel brighter now.
It's very neat, about 20cm square; you can adjust the brightness to suit your need/preference; cost around £90 from Amazon.
