I think the key is to eat a balanced diet, preferably of fresh foods, without excess of anything. It is the hidden fats, sugars, salts etc that are the problem, many processed. prepared and junk foods are a problem. I would not eat meat without fat, it is the fat that adds flavour, topside of beef is a no no for me, rib has so much more flavour.
We don't add sugar or salt to most foods (except salt on my morning porridge)
