when we saw it in a relative's home, we liked it's quirkiness. I see in some of the ads that they are recommended for dementia sufferers, but we're not quite there yet, d. v. However, a great aid if you really need to know what day it is for medication, hospital appointments, etc

Thanks, I think one of those will do nicely, though I was really thinking about one with a wood surround. I'll get ordering I think. We live abroad, but will be visiting D, SIL and GD in UK soon (yippee!) , so can have it posted there
