Shortage of eye drops

I’ve had this problem in the past with another brand of drops but fortunately my local pharmacist and GP were able to come up with an alternative. I would contact your consultant sooner rather than later.

Is anyone having trouble obtaining Glaucoma eye drops. My usual ones Fixapost are out of stock, and have been for a couple of weeks. The alternatives are also out of stock. I use preservative free ones as other alternatives irritate my eyes. I usually order through Pharmacy2U. I cannot find an NHS emergency stock notice which they normally issue if there is a problem like there was back in Feb this year. Every time I reorder now I worry they wont have them in stock. local pharmacies dont have them either. I have some left but I will have to contact my eye consultant if they dont come into stock soon.
