Waterproof mattress cover/mat. Any recommendations?

I bought a double waterproof mattress protector for my Dad from Dunelm. The 'top' was made of sort of fine towelling and was really soft; the underside was really pliable and didn't 'sound' like it was waterproof.......I do hope that makes sense.
Dad would only have little accidents but the topper did save the mattress on several occasions. It laundered easily and didn't take long to dry.
Can't advise on the smaller ones though, sorry.

These are washable, do not feel of plastic at all, and can hold pints, drying it away from the person.

Could I ask if anyone has experience of using a private health care facility for post operative care? I’m curious about the costs involved as I have had 2 quotes and they are very different at £400 a day and £850 a day. My husband will need 24 hour care for a couple of weeks. Thank you

Utopia on Amazon sells one that looks and feels exactly like a bedsheet. It washes well, is well made, and is not expensive. It has not been tested yet but is in place when required.

A cleaner changed the bedding and thought it was an ordinary bottom white fitted sheet.

I bought a double quite from Amazon that’s fully water proofed.

It does “sound” waterproof and crackles but it is a practical bonus and I’m so happy with it remove the wet quilt cover and give it a wipe over and it’s good to go again.

I too second the kylie sheets again from Amazon.

I had the one I cover my spare bedroom with from Argos it has a cotton top and waterproof underneath elasticated all round and deep enough to go under the mattress so a nice tight fit. It's a double and the mattress is deep. Think it was £10 . But will check.

Just looked it was Habitat from Argos double now £16 single £14.

IKEA do lovely lightweight, soft and easy to launder, waterproof mattress covers. They're not expensive and have always kept my mattresses impeccable - in spite of numerous spilt drinks courtesy of GCs and once, when my cleaning lady accidentally shut my cat in the bedroom!!! 🙀

Are they for IKEA sized mattresses, though, which are a different size to other mattresses. I’m only asking because I want to replace an IKEA bed but can only replace it with another IKEA bed because the mattress is an IKEA one and still in really good condition.

My friends carers used puppy training mats on her bed

I bought two on Ebay. About a tenner each. Soft towelling one side and waterproof the other but not scratchy stuff. They are fitted and wash really well.

Yes, I'm assuming they are. Living in France, when we needed to replace bed frames or mattresses, we were driven mad by the sizes which never matched up with the British ones. So, beds now are from IKEA - almost all other French beds we found to be soooooo hard, and expensive. These mattress covers are almost invisible when fitted onto the mattress, they don't crackle or suffer from laundering and one of them we're still using after 8 years. They change the names from time to time, but perhaps the most recent one is GÖKÄRT in their range.
