I’ve had it since my eldest daughter was a year old so that’s 48 years ago. It presents in different ways. Electronic whistling, screaming and thumping. Ive had various investigations over the years including having water siphoned into my ears while counting backwards in threes No idea what that was all about. 🤷♀️ and also a brain scan. (They did find a brain but nothing untoward with it 🤣). I’ve learnt to live with it. Sometimes it drives me nuts and is particularly bad after alcohol, while flying, in noisy conditions such as fireworks & crowds, and with a head cold. I think the brain can be trained to automatically ignore it. As I type, it is screaming at me but that’s because I’m thinking about it. I have the radio on all the time which helps distract me from ‘it’. Sadly there is no cure but I’m ever hopeful.
