I had a cystocele repair about 15 years ago after bladder protruded into vagina. No pain or excess peeing, just discomfort. Pelvic floor was tightened, to put bladder back in place and in my case cervix had to be removed. I was in hospital for a few days and had to do no lifting or exercise for a few weeks (or months, I can't quite remember now). You just need to follow instructions and do exactly as you're told. I've had no problems since. I'm now 76 and still not bothered with lots of peeing or leakage. I put some of that down to pilates and walking. Good luck.
