Has anyone had a pulmonary embolism

No but the idea of it worries me a lot. Some are small and don't re-occur but some are large enough to kill you.

It must have been a horrible experience. However, the only people I know who have had one and survived haven't had a reoccurence. The anti-coags will work.

Had a scare last Friday. Had a sensation, not pain inbetween my breasts. Intermittently. I decided to go to A&E and to get checked out. No other symptoms.
They checked ecg, that was ok , but heart rate and bp elevated. They ran bloods and all ok apart from d diner for clotting , which was just out of normal range.
The dr said let’s do a cat scan and chest X-ray just to be sure. I don’t think this is anything, but your heart rate is still up.
They found a v small clot. I was v v shocked.
I was sent home with anticoagulants and to attend an out patients clinic this week.
Has anyone else experienced this ?
