Yes, they accepted full responsibility but said my stroke was caused by Covid . Their word against mine, so I couldn't make a claim (it's notoriously difficult to sue the NHS).

Haven't heard anything from MSK clinic, so rang a number given if I haven't heard within 2 weeks (referral made 2nd July). Woman said they sent me a text yesterday (no they hadn't). The earliest appointment is August 16th. More waiting, not to worry.

Oh dear more waiting for you- hope things don’t get any worse for you in the meantime. I still can’t get my cream - the problem is pre cancerous so hope the supply resumes soon.
SweetPeaSue- your DH s GP appt didn’t sound very pleasant- a bit dismissive. Where is the kindness and empathy you need from your doctors. I hope the biopsy is not too unpleasant for him and that afterwards things will be clearer.You are so clued up- thank goodness. But of course sometimes knowledge throws up more worries.
I think prayers always count- wine is good.
Candy - you have busy doggy days ahead. Do your two like their visitor?

Doodle- Some days are much harder than others and life can seem drained of joy. But a game with your GS or hugs from your Sons and you will know you have much to live for. Just don’t expect too much of yourself- you have lost so much so allow yourself to grieve. You are an amazing , selfless caring person.
This coast is so wild - today we went on a boat and saw seals and dolphins catching Salmon. Today is the saddest of Anniversaries but seeing the wonders of nature heals your soul I think. Take care dear Doodle.

Sweetpeasue that’s a very clear description of your DH’s problems. How frustrating the GP won’t listen and act appropriately. I do hope your DH gets his rheumatology appointment soon and within the four weeks. Hope the biopsy goes ok.

nadareturbe yes I realise compared to many I am lucky. I have a caring family and some good friends. How have you been today? Glass of wine with dinner is nice.
HVDY yes keeping busy is a distraction. Being with others can be a mixed blessing. Sometimes keeping up the pretence is hard sometimes I feel totally disconnected from whoever I’m with and just talking on automatic pilot. Other times like today I had a good natter with my friend and it was easy and nice.
Wow that’s an amazing blood pressure. They must have been so worried about you. DH has been over 275 but not that high.
Sorry your appointment is so far away. Is there chance of a cancellation before then?
I knew a nurse from the hospital who went axe throwing. She loved it thought it was brilliant.
Candy being on my own now I don’t need headphones which is why I can play it on Alexa. I have joined an online bereavement group and it is a help. Cruise will contact me when they have a space.

Oh Doodle So many years with your other half and such love between you both. All of those years very precious and special. I hope you will see someone tomorrow and not be alone all day. HVDY You have been so strong and brave after what happened to you. Such injustice is extremely hard to accept and I know no one else really understands unless it's happened to them. The NHS is much much harder to bring to task than people understand. I just wish now that your appt was closer and hope your pain will ease off gradually before then. Lovely gifts for your son's birthday. Had to Google axe- throwing - never heard of it.
Scaredycat Wonderful to see dolphins and seals feeding like that. Your boat trip must have been amazing experience. So glad you're having a great time. Your words to everyone are so thoughtful .I'm sorry about the sad anniversary. It must bring back such hard memories but also you will have such special , precious ones too. Thankyou the biopsy I don't think will be pleasant ( can't believe I watched a video - how stupid was that). But hopefully the local anathesia will block any pain .

EllieAnne We once had a week in holiday cottage nr Tarbert and drove out to just past Campbeltown intending to walk to Mull of Kintyre but didnt in the end. Wasnt sure we'd make it but think Arran was close. Think you can't be far away. You've such a lovely country.
HVDY So warm here so hope it's not too hot where you are. We're never satisfied are we but such a big change from all the rain. I don't think the procedure will be pleasant but hopefully shouldn't be pain during it. Made mistake of googling it and think they take 3 centimeters of artery but don't understand how the blood flows through afterwards. Can't help needing to know.

Scaredycat Ah, it's so sad to leave a lovely place when it's been so good a holiday. You will bring back those memories with you and perhaps return a other time. It's fortunate you can visit family on the return journey and I'm sure they will be pleased to see you . You have such a wide family -must be nice.

Heard from son1 yesterday and everything good. Makes such a difference when I hear from him and we can have a little chat and know things are fine. DGD happy too.
DH not well and he just seems to get more exhausted every day. He still has 'thick foggy' head though piercing throbbing not as bad. I can't believe things have gone on so long so hope to hear about consultant appt soon.

SweetpeaSue I know how worried you are about your husband, and naturally so. I Google things, too. I tell myself it's got to have knowledge beforehand. I hope your husband's head pain clears up soon, and that his biopsy goes well tomorrow. As we know, things often take ages to be dealt with.

Hope your own pain has not been too awful today. You have had so much to deal with and I just hope you can get some help soon, I really do.
