Sorry to read your husband is unwell Doodle. Yes, I’ve had experience of Ensure for a couple of years. Not for myself but for a family member. It comes in sweet and savoury flavours. Also a coffee flavour which can be heated. Actually any of them could be warmed if preferable. There was a thread on it and similar nutritional drinks recently. I’ll try to find it for you.

Hopefully this is the recent thread with posts about nutritional supplement drinks. Your GP will provide a prescription for them. I hope your husband picks up strength soon Doodle.

I think the other thread started off as a discussion on Fortisp then meandered into Ensure. It should hopefully help your husband, especially if he’s managing to eat and just needs it for a boost. It’s nutritionally complete and can be used as a sole source of nourishment if someone is too frail/unwell to eat food.

I was given ensure three times a day during a hospital stay last year and was prescribed them for a while after discharge. There are two types if I remember correctly, juice or milkshake. I much preferred the milkshake type, vanilla or banana flavour went down easily when I wasn’t able to eat much.
