Hearing aid types and advice

I’ve been advised that I need hearing aids. I need rechargeable as I’m not very good with my hands. I would like something discreet. Are these available on the NHS? If not how do I choose as there are so many different types available.

Google 'NHS hearing aids'. There is a lot of information out there. Or get an appointment at your local Specsavers. They will check firstly if your ears needs syringing and then give you a hearing test. After that they can advise on the hearing aids, NHS and private, that would best suit you.

Depends on your Health Authority IF you can be referred to specsavers. My authority isn’t in the scheme. I had a 16week wait to have a test then a further theee weeks before I got my aids. Batteries last me two weeks and I wear my aids for 14hrs a day.

I recommend going to Boots Hearing Care. Always had good service from them
