Any one else having symptoms after the Moderna Omicron Booster Vaccine?

I had moderna and felt very tired for four days, also shivery 36 hours after having it. I’d had Moderna before but felt different this time. I’m glad I’m having my flu jab separately , not looking forward to it though.

I had the Moderna and just about feeling ok now ( a week later). The day following the jab I was sick and felt very achey, with a bad headache. Slightly better the next day, but still felt achey for several days. Couldn’t tolerate milk in tea and had to eat very bland food.

A sore arm and possibly a bit sleepy but that's all.

I had both covid booster and flu jab in the same arm 2 weeks ago. I've had a sore arm since. Not at the injection site but the underside of my arm. Like a pulling sensation when I reach for something, and sore to the touch. It is much better now.

Had Pfizer and no after effects at all which is a first for me. But Spring booster was Moderna and I felt very ill for several days. Believe there is something different in the makeup of Moderna vaccines? Any scientific people on here know?

Mr C and I had not a side effect between us. Our friend across the bridge was very unwell for 10 days, flu-type symptoms and initially an upset stomach. She could eat very little and slept for hours at a time in the day. Amazing the difference between people. I’m not sure I understand the ‘why’ of it.

I posted about Moderna vaccine a while back. I’d forgotten that after my first AZ jab I also had a visible lump under my arm for several days. Few side effects and virtually none after second AZ. I’ve since had pneumonia vaccine with no side effects apart from the very sore and heavy arm I always get.

Last November I had the Moderna booster. I was really, really ill for a fortnight afterwards. I couldn’t sleep for the shooting pains throughout my body, headaches and shivering. At one stage I felt needles were being ejected from my big toe. But the real shock came on day 4 when I thought I was having a heart attack my chest pains were so bad I could scarcely breathe. I knew if I phoned 111 I’d be told to go to A&E which I absolutely did not want to do. After a couple more days they subsided.

I had Covid in March. All I had was a day in bed, bit of a sore throat and a temp of 37.7c and a few sniffles.

The Moderna vaccine for me was 10 times worse than Covid.

I had the Moderna with the new variants and my ‘flu on the same day - last Saturday morning. I felt fine all day, went to bed and woke at 2am Sunday morning aching all over ... back, shoulders, neck, arms. This lasted all Sunday and Sunday night through till Monday night when I took ibuprofen on top of paracetamol. I was fine Tuesday morning.

I thought I'd been sleeping in the "wrong" position when I woke up early-doors and my back, shoulders, neck and arms were aching.

Got a thumping headache too and the fatigue was something else!

I also found the ibuprofen / paracetamol combo worked well.

Himself, who's quite disabled, was toddling around on his Zimmer trying to look after me... I got a nice cup of tea with honey, well, what was left of it by the time he'd wobbled from the kitchen to the sitting room

He'd had the same vaccinations and felt absolutely fine!

I dread it, always get a reaction.

We only had the flu jabs on Tuesday morning, no sore arms, but completely wiped out yesterday and I had a headache waking me up at 4.00 am. Feeling a bit better today.

I had the Spikevax on Friday and have had bad dizzy spells even when lying down ,muscle ache and the headache from hell.Had no side effects with all my other jags which were Pfizer.The dizziness is quite scary but according to my GP surgery its within the NORMAL side effects so it will wear off

I had my flu and Covid jabs on Monday (don't know whether it was Moderna, forgot to ask!). Felt OK until bedtime, when I started to feel a few aches and pains (sore back, hips, hands). Had trouble sleeping and a temperature. The next day I felt very tired, had a headache and generally felt unwell. The following morning all symptoms had gone and I felt fine.

We had ours last week, it was Moderna, which we had not had before.No reactions whatsoever, thank goodness.

Talking of reactions, Sky News reports that there's a "concerning" increase in COVID hospitalisations in the past week which, according to the UKHSA, suggests a new wave of infections. From what I can gather, it's mostly in the elderly and is spreading in care homes and hospital environments.

... the news of which is not helped by the use of silly (IMO) made up phrases like twindemic to describe the possibility of an increase in both Covid and 'flu. I don't know if it's just me being a grumpy old woman, but I get really irritated with these made-up words (like staycation). The word pandemic has to be mangled to make it 'fit'. It infantilises the English language.

But the UKHSA weekly surveillance report still shows low levels of influenza activity.

I'm guessing there will be more 'critical incident' reports from hospitals, considering the parlous state of the NHS at the moment, during the coming months.

DH and I had Moderna last week we have been feeling dreadful. Started off shivering and being generally too drained to do anything. It's started to wear off we were supposed to get the flu jab today but we were advised to cancel until we are back to normal.

I'm glad I've seen this post.I had Moderna and Flu jab a week ago and have felt exhausted and tired since then.I hadn't linked it to the Vaccinations and thought I was either being lazy or perhaps had a health problem. Hopefully I will feel back to normal very soon.

Philippa111, I'm due to have mine on Monday. Last week, though, I had the flu jab and felt quite unwell - with all the symptoms you describe! I'm hoping, therefore, that I'll be fine - as I'm still dizzy at times and don't want to be worse.

Had my flu jab over a week ago, fine.

Had my Covid booster on Wednesday, Moderna. No problems, just the usual sore arm if pressed.

Have had 2 Pfizer, and now 2 Moderna.

Feel lucky as I have had no ill effects whatsoever from the jabs, apart from the arm being tender for a day or so.

I had flu and Moderna, apart from sore arms and feeling a bit tired I was fine.

I have had the five Covid jabs with no ill effects apart from a sore arm. The first was the worst.
I am going to have the flu jab tomorrow for the first time. I hope I don't regret it.

Wiped out for 3 days. Never had a reaction before to these jabs.
Made the mistake of having both flu and moderna. Never again.

I thought mine was in a couple of weeks, but just checked and its tomorrow. Fir tye furst time I am feeling nervous as my dh really wasnt well after his.

I had the flu vaccine in one arm and the covid booster in the other - on Wednesday. Feel ok now but yesterday was just so tired - two very sore arms - and a headache.

I went for my flu jab yesterday and was offered the fourth covid (Moderna) jab too, so I took it up, though I had booked a covid jab separately (since cancelled). I have a slightly sore arm from the flu jab but no other ill effects so far. DH usually felt a bit poorly after his.

I had my Moderna spikevax last Thursday and I’ve felt like I’ve got a bad cold ever since. My head feels bunged up and tinnitus roaring in my head.
