Anyone else have little pin prick size blood dots

I get them on my arms if I have been carrying a bag there. They are like little bruises. the doctor said nothing to worry about. Perhaps these are not the same.

I've got them all over me. Started appearing first when I was pregnant with my first child and now have them in ever more increasing numbers at 64. I've always thought they are hormonal. Have had loads removed by electrolysis but they still keep appearing. No medical conditions that I'm aware of.

I've had these on my tummy for years. They didn't appear to be doing any harm, so I never asked my doctor about them. Unless I wore a bikini (very unlikely) they'd be invisible.

I too have them all over my stomach area and have had them for years. Am 77 and do not take any specific medication.

I'm covered in them, started appearing in my early 30's. I too have an auto immune condition but that didn't appear till my 50's. I have too many platelets which are also a funny shape but my specialist can find no explanation as yet for that. Weird because most people with my auto immune condition have too few platelets but I've always been awkward.

I have them everywhere too - it’s petechiae and when I queried it with my GP years ago he said it was normal and not to worry.

I frequently have this too on my ankles. For me, its usually a sign that I'm heading for a bout of cellulitis.
I have two autoimmune conditions and enlarged platelets.

I worked for years as PA in the dermatology department at our local hospital. The cherry angiomas are individual tiny ripe spots are called Campbell de Morgan, common as we age and are benign. Petechiae have a different appearance altogether, look like a rash but is not.

Have you had your platelet level checked? A low level can cause petechiae. Low platelets can be caused by certain medications, but other causes should be ruled out.

I've never been told what they are. I also have an autoimmune condition called Graves but I had them years before I became unwell.

Is it OK to ask your condition and if you know the medical name for them?
