Yes if going into a building or if there are others nearby.
Never stopped. COVID numbers are growing and very high again.
GP surgery not great and want us to book in using a screen device. I refuse to use it as it means touching a screen that many many sick patients have touched.
I don’t touch anything with my hands when out - doors etc. I use my skirt etc

I have been wearing FFP3 masks until very recently. At the end of July I will be travelling abroad to see my parents (87 and 90) and will start wearing a face cover again about ten days prior to departure to protect them, I will also have a PCR test.

Kate1949, I agree. I had become complacent, should have worn a mask on crowded trains. I now have Covid despite four vaccinations.

I am not wearing a mask. My husband is. It's all a matter of mental fragility I believe. Recently we got on an aeroplane for hours. We were required by the airline to wear mask and it was very uncomfortable and we both ended up with a cold because of inhaling our own breath. On the return journey nobody wore a mask because the UK government changed its policy - totally arbitrary in my opinion. Neither myself nor husband were any the worse off for being in that closed situation for 5 hours.

Still wear in and public transport. Chemist/ Doc /Dentist and hospital all ask for you to wear them. I also attend a dental hospital and not only do you have to wear a mask the procedure gets done in a double sealed tent with special air ??

Since the 2 new variants, I have been wearing mine in any crowded place, whether indoor or out. Also we've been advised here in Scotland to wear one if indoors with others and I did wear mine today when I took my DGD to the SoftPlay area. Our Health Centre has continued to use them throughout the pandemic, as have many shops/hairdressers/caterers/librarians etc in my area. I have some conditions that would not respond well to Covid, so I am quite conscientious about this. I'm dreading getting it!

A my GP surgery today, ALL people, patients and staff were masked, which I found reassuring.

I'm going for a mammogram and have been asked to wear a mask. Regarding the rise in covid, I'm not worried. It is now a mild illness and the anxiety is unjustified.

Just clear after having Covid, wearing a mask even more now. I don’t want it again!!?

It hasn't felt very mild to me this week. I have felt like I was dying. Although I realise how much some people have suffered and mine is mild in comparison.

Can’t stand them either and still doubt how effective they are as most are not worn correctly.

Yes in most poblic places - even outside. Too many people seem to think that the lifting of restrictions meant the end of Covid but it is still out there and no-one know just how much protection vaccinations give, especially those of us who are taking immunosuppressant medication. The government are very quiet about the rise in infections because, of course, it is so much more important to save the economy than lives

I started wearing one again since getting covid for a 2nd time! I became too relaxed.

Yes, never really stopped. But it depends on the number of people around , if a shop/place is relatively empty I’ll go without but if I have to stand in a Q or the place is busy I will put a mask on and also try to keep my distance from people. Mostly alone in this though as I’m often the only one wearing one- I don’t care though. The “sheep” can risk it if they want!

Outside my GP surgery is a clear message asking patients to wear a mask. I've been there a few times recently - wearing a mask as requested - and am usually the only one wearing one.
I asked the doc ( wearing mask) why patients weren't wearing them as requested and she shrugged her shoulders and said
" we can't make them wear them".
Yet next door is a pharmacist where they will only allow a limited number of people in the shop at any one time, and request that masks be worn. As far as I can see all the users are obeying the instructions. Presumably they are afraid of not getting their Prescriptions otherwise!!
I strongly suspect that surgeries have attempted to enforce mask wearing, but too many patients have said they haven't got one, and the surgery has found that supplying free ones is too costly!
I just feel so angry about those who refuse to wear one in a place where ill people congregate and thereby put vulnerable people at risk.
It's one very good reason for GPs making it more difficult for patients to see the doctor in person.

Ps a recent scientific report says wearing a mask especially FP3 is the one thing you can do to protect yourself.

I do when I’m in a shop or on public transport. I’ve never stopped. There are several threads on Twitter which are concerning. It seems that the risk of contracting long COVID increases every time you become infected. I’ll be glad when we’re the other side of autumn and winter and not just because of the fuel bills!

Well MrA and I are still splitting our sides at that. We still wear masks indoors in crowded areas. Could it just be that people think differently to you? I don't think anyone has ever considered me mentally fragile before. Especially for wearing a mask.

We still have to wear a mask in the doctors but not anywhere else. I haven't had COVID but I have had all my vaccinations.

I wear one while shopping and still avoid busy areas and indoor venues. Much prefer to meet outdoors or in very small groups these days. I do hug those close to me now though. I use a fresh mask daily and fold it so the outer side is inwards, anti bac before entering and leaving shops. Every bag has a small bottle in it and I handwash with soap regularly. I do wonder about the effectiveness of those scrunched up masks worn which people grab from the bottom of their bags but wouldnt judge. I do what I am comfortable with and it feels sensible to me. If I had symptoms or indeed a positive test I would stay put at home. We all make choices and nothing is foolproof. I hope if I do get it and I expect I will at some stage, that it doesn't make me so unwell that I need to go to hospital but I guess we wait and see.

Well as I said, I had become complacent, smug even. I've had my jabs, if it was going to get me it would have done by now etc. How wrong I was. After suffering uncontrollable shaking, a severe headache, cough and worst of all a feeling that someone was hacking at my throat with razors, no more complacency from me.

I have 2 choices,

1) Wear a mask, in shops etc
2) Catch the sneaky new variant of Covid and risk a hellish week, then struggle on suffering 'long Covid'.
