My husband has high cholesterol levels and has been given 6 months to lower it with diet. I'm happy with cooking low fat main meals and lunches but I'm struggling with treats! He loves a cake/biscuit and obviously most of these are high in saturated fat. Other than a fat free sponge, I'm a bit lost. Can you make pastry with a low fat spread? How about biscuits or muffins? I know fruit is an adequate dessert/treat for many, but I think I'll struggle to convince my husband of this! Thank you.
