BlueSky thank heaven your medication has been changed. It is natural to have mixed feelings when someone we love is
considering surgery , hold onto positive thoughts too, your husband must long to have mobility restored, i speak as someone who is wheelchair dependent. x

blueSky so glad you are back on the meds which make you feel better. Hope your DH gets his operation soon and is all the better for it. I think the hospitals are pretty covid safe now.

Joce there are times when all we can do is plod on, just think about the present and let the future worry about itself. Big virtual hug.

Went to the theatre last night and met an old friend, another one who has lost someone close due to Covid. So many, so sad. I was pleased that most people were wearing masks as I had read about a week ago that hardly anyone at the Royal Opera House was wearing one.

We got home very late last night and it was the early hours before I was in bed. No volunteering today so no alarm clock and DH woke me at 1045!! I have got so much done today after that catch up. Almost ready for family arriving tomorrow, just have to decorate a birthday cake for Dil as we won't see her on the day and the GC love birthdays. I am so excited!!

Hello all.
We are enjoying our trip. Weather has been sunny until today. It is now cloudy and raining but I am still enjoying the rest and reading books.
Annie I have just been reading about your craft works. Of course I knew you did cross stitch and had been knitting previously but had no idea you used to design and sell your crafts, such a shame you can’t do those things anymore.
What cross stitch are you working on at the moment?
Bluesky good to hear your blood results have improved and you are back on your old medication. Hopefully that means you are feeling more comfortable now.
I can understand you being worried about your DH having an op but if it helps his mobility then hopefully it would be worthwhile.
Nonnie hope the itching is improving now. I find with symptoms like that you can’t stop your mind thinking of them.
Hopefully your family visit will take your mind off it and it will improve. Have a lovely time with your family. Are they staying with you? Hope the birthday cake is a success.
Ellie Anne I don’t really like driving during the day and at night I hate it. It was very kind of you to take your neighbour but it obviously was a very stressful journey.
Your husband sounds as though he is only interested 8n himself and his heath complaints. No wonder you find it so hard living with someone who you have no companionship from. Is he interested in your children or just very self centred? Are your children aware of how hard things are for you? I hope you are ok.
Joce hope things are looking up for you soon. You sound a bit low. Try and plod on gently and hope for some good times to come. Thinking of you too x

Yes Doodle all staying here and all ready now. No idea how long it will take them as its a very long journey. Other family joining us at time during the week. I will be happy.

Good that you are getting plenty of relaxation. Holiday mind is very different from normal mind.

depressing, I would love to be able to say to someone- ‘you
telephone them and sort it out ‘, but there is no one

Annie you have been achieving recently, remember that and keep your chin up. I can imagine how frustrating dealing with the council could be but, if you don't succeed, contact your local councillor so they can take it up for you.

Morning all x Just back from the surgery and my BP is a reasonable figure, and I feel so much better, the last few weeks I was really feeling my age!
Annie well done in winning your battle with the council, that’s the way!
Doodle nice to hear from you, hope you are enjoying every minute!
Ellie Anne years ago I was in situation similar to yours, thank goodness I changed what I could change and started again, only I was just 40, not sure I would have done it when older.

BlueSky great to learn your BP problems have calmed x

I am so down after yet another council battle, they wanted to
install new central heating in November and would find me a
bed in a care home for 4 days ! ! ! ! After a rather heated discussion they have postponed the installation until next year
when weather is warm and I will stay out in the garden during
the day. If the new doors are fitted by then ! ! ! !

Thank you all. We are enjoying our trip. Mind you won’t mind getting home again. There is only so much relaxing you can cope with. Be different if we could get off the ship on our own but escorted tours only and they are not our thing.
Very foggy today but warm wind so not too bad.
Annie I’m sure MT will be ok. Much better she has a job that she’s interested in than one she finds boring or dull.
Hope she gets on ok. Maybe it’s some kind of link back to her grandfather. I think you mentioned your husband was a policeman. Maybe it’s his genes in her that make her interested in her chosen path.
I do so wish the council would listen to your wants and needs and act on them rather than try and force on you what they think you need.
Bluesky so glad you are feeling better. It makes a difference to how you cope with the day based on how much energy you have. What kind words to Ellie Anne I’m sure it helps to hear from others who have had the same experiences.

Good advice Annie. It’s horrid how people can take advantage of any situation to con others and to take their money from them.
It is very cold and windy here today but the sea isn’t too bad.
Looking forward to getting home now and getting out for a walk.
Surprising how tired you can get doing nothing.

Hello everyone and thanks for your kind comments and prayers.
It’s been difficult this week mainly due to worry about son and family whose financial situation is dire.
Haven’t been able to stay in the house much so have been out a lot walking seeing friends and wandering around the town. He has hardly left the house for weeks.just a 5 minute walk to the shop for his paper every morning. I’m so tired and stressed. Going to see a friend tonight and usually don’t come back till he is in bed.
Sorry you are having to fight with the council again Annie. At least they listened this time.

Annie I think if we tried that we would fall overboard. ?
Ellie Anne I feel,so sorry for you in your situation. You are obviously not happy but at the same time worried about your son and his family. I pray for some solution to your situation and hope things improve for you and your son and his family.

Hi everyone - we got home today and I have just read all your posts. Internet was terrible where we were so have missed you all. It was lovely to be back though and enjoy the beautiful scenery and beloved places.
Doodle- glad you had a good holiday but I expect like us you will be glad to be home again. Only difference is we walked miles!
BlueSky - glad you are back on meds that suit you. I hope too that your husband my be able to have his operation and improve his mobility.
Nonnie- hope you are enjoying lovely family time.
Annie- so sorry you are still having to fight battles with your council. MT has done so well to get a job doing something that she obviously has great enthusiasm for- I wish her well. You must be so proud of her.
Joce- Glad for you that you had good news and hope you were able to have a better sleep.
Ellie Anne- I am sad for you in your home life and know how worried you must be about your son. Thinking of you.
I am so grateful to have had the time away and despite a lot of AF it has done me good. Had some anxious moments and worry about my DiL who had a bad accident last week but is home now and beginning her recovery.
