Worried about grandson's school journey

As far as I can see, and what I’ve heard, all the public places are being managed very well, certainly on transport etc. Is it a long journey involving changes of trains, or quite straightforward? Various members of my family have been using trains, and they’re impressed by their professionalism. He’s being accompanied, so try not to worry. He’s probably safer there, than in a family gathering in the back garden. Hope all goes well for him?

There will be a lot of pupils returning to school soon and many will be travelling by public transport, by themselves.
Masks are compulsory but hands will be touching surfaces. It is a concern and presumably he us old enough to be aware of handwashing and hygiene.

He will be fine wearing of masks is encouraged on transport just tell him to wash his hands when he gets there I really wouldn’t worry

Even if they do catch it the risk of it being serious or, God forbid, fatal is very low. Try not to worry and certainly don’t let your grandson see you are concerned or you risk him being scared of this new and exciting chapter in his life.
