Morning all. Annie sorry you had un unsettling day yesterday, one day up one day down, let's hope today is up. Nice not to be woken up by a painful stomach, long may it last. I've got to give these Lansoprasole a chance, as I tend to discard any medication as soon as I feel better or notice some side effects. Hope we'll all have a peaceful day x

Yesterday’s events has really unnerved me, no one has a key to
my bungalow, I still can’t lock my doors, I didn’t for the years
my darling daughter was ill incase she needed me, I just cannot turn that key in the lock.

The neighbour who walked in is leading the campaign to have
the woman next door to me moved from the Close, she came
to tell me the police were next door again, I heard the shouting at the police but I don’t want and will not be involved
in the campaign
and I was embarrassed by the living room floor covered in white dog hair , it hasn’t been vacuumed for 3 weeks !

Annie of course, I’m sorry I forgot about you not locking your door and why. I assumed you neighbour had a key. Bit rude of her to just walk in without waiting for you to get to the door. No need for you to be embarrassed. She had no right to walk in. Your dog is moulting. My DIL has the same problem dog hair everywhere.
Bluesky you shouldn’t stop taking meds without discussing with your GP, Annie’s right.

Doodle my AF is like palpitations and my heart goes a bit potty - sometimes worse than others. Its very unnerving as it can happen at any time. It did it again last night but I went to sleep with it- often a bad dream will kick it off. Ok today though? I also have the random blips I think they are called Ectopic Heartbeats and are quite common. Just that with Health Anxiety you notice every little sensation. Glad you haven,t got AF.

Annie that sounds like a caring neighbour, I'm sure they were concerned for you not the bungalow. Sorry to hear you hurt your knee. Have you spoken to a pain clinic? A friend of mine found it really helpful. Yes I understand you may not be able to actually go to them but could they come to you?

Doodle I think losing count is probably a good thing, I lose where I am with my times tables and go back and start again. It is not about succeeding but about stopping the other thinking.

Joce hope you manage your diverticular disease, I rarely have a problem with mine now I know what it is.

BlueSky glad the stomach has improved. I take Lansaprazole and have to be really careful when I take it. I used to take it with my normal meds first thing in the morning but that was wrong. Now I take it about 1/2 hour before my first meal of the day which is usually about noon.

Used an alarm this morning, very unusual. DH had a physio appointment, yes an actual appointment face to face not a phone one! I dropped him off and went to get some fruit in the supermarket, found a few stocking fillers while I was there. Yes, I know it is September but I don't go out often so might as well get them when I see them.

My car is making a very strange noise, one you can only hear from outside. DH was doing the 'man thing', opened the bonnet and looked inside while not having a clue how it worked! Postman came along and joined him and I had a chuckle about the two old blokes trying to look and sound as if they had a clue what they were looking at! My silly sense of humour seems to have returned despite being very tired today.

Nonnie you say you don't take Lansoprasole first thing in the morning with the other meds. That's what I've been doing in the last few days, did it cause you problems?
Scaredy how's AF different from normal palpitations? I'm asking as last year I had two episodes of heart beating really fast when my BP med was upped.
As you can see as soon as health matters are mentioned, I think I have them all!

Nonnie and Bluesky . AFIB means Atrial Fibrillation it is an irregularity of your heart beat and can be periodic or constant. It can be very fast beats or jumpy irregular ones like palpitations. There are various procedures that can help and medication too. Just something you learn to live with like any other health problem. Many people have it without knowing although I can,t imagine not noticing it !! I know what you mean Bluesky about hearing of a condition and thinking you have it - I don,t watch any medical programmes or read newspaper health articles for that reason. Health Anxiety is the pits.

I can’t get away from depression and anxiety especially health anxiety. I’m really trying to deal with it but it’s hard.

Annie how is the knee and hip today? Phone appoint available with physio. It is a worry if it is your arthritic leg. I hope your not in too much pain poor love.

Do you have a S.W. or S.S? I got 4 door locks & garage door changed for remote control ones. No key needed. Key box for carer, chains, panic alarms, intercom, camera & smoke alarm. £6 mth. Security is paramount without it you are at risk.
I also have a storm alert 9 on phone police arrive but for different reasons.

Doodle Told never to watch the news at night or use phone or computer 1 hr before bed for a good nights sleep. Try the
Mental Capacity test counting from 100 -7 to 0. Then 1000 -7 to 0. Your sheep will be disappearing before your eyes. Sleep well.

Good morning all, especially to Joyce. Sorry to hear you’re having a blip, it will pass. I haven’t been here for a while but am really struggling with my anxiety (and health anxiety) at the moment. I feel literally terrified a lot of the time, such a waste of a life. I live on my own and my daughter has just gone back to her uni town so am feeling very lonely. I’m so tired of feeling like this and can’t see an end to it.

I am struggling with health anxiety very badly at the moment so understand how you feel. I feel like I’m wasting my life because of panicking all the time. Hope things pick up for you soon.

Lucyanne yes my Grandkids are happy to be back in school.
My granddaughter has the same teacher, but grandson has a new one, he likes her so was happy to hear that. Youngest granddaughter start next week, yet to see how she goes ?

Chrissy heath anxiety is horrible it does take some living with I have had it for a few year now. I have just started having more therapy to see if it will help.
I do take CBD oil it helps me sleep but I know it’s not for everyone. It doesn’t go well with some meds so need to make sure it’s ok..
I have depression has well. Really need to stay positive. The friends on hear all always hear for everyone..

Bluesky as Scaredycat said, A F is not palpitations although palpitations can be a symptom of AF. Your GP would probably pick it up if you have your Bp taken.
Annie that woman obviously upset you and I’m not surprised. Put her out of your mind if you can she is obviously on the campaign trail and I know you don’t want to be involved. Hope your DGD can come and visit soon.

Doodle yes she really did upset me, not only walking in without an invite, then going on about next door, she told me
she was rushed to hospital Monday and discharged Tuesday
morning. I didn’t know our local hospital A&E have closed because of the virus, we know have to go 20 miles to the nearest A&E, ambulance will take you , then you are there for
the night until the Ambulances do a pick up for everyone the
next morning ! This certainly set my agoraphobia off, the thought of a 20 mile drive then waiting until morning to come
home, I wouldn’t have anyone to telephone to pick me up, no
walking on the path for me now, I have thought it through, yes
fearful of a fall now, but at least one can be treated , it could be
the A&E 40 miles away !

No not a new thing at all, suffered with it for 40 years although this is the worst it’s ever been. I’ve never spoken to anyone who understands it before so I’m looking forward to chatting with people who understand.

Chrissy the virus has raised so many fears for many, this has caused raised stress levels, those of us who had anxiety before
this are finding their stress levels are higher. You will find

Morning all x As I was saying on the Claromycin thread, as well as the stomach issue I've still got the tight chest. Not sure which came first the chicken or the egg. It doesn't help not being able to see the doctor in person at the moment. Anyway there's much worse. Have a peaceful day or at least try x

BlueSky I can't remember the reason it was wrong but I think if you read the details in each med packet you might find it. One thing I can remember is that you only need to take it about 30 mins before the fist meal so you could simply do that unless the doc has told you otherwise. Sorry I can' remember, it was years ago.

Interesting that I have the opposite of all those with health anxiety, I always assume that whatever I have will go away and ignore it for far too long. If I Google it and there are 10 symptoms but I only have 8 I assume to don't have whatever it is. Perhaps I am one of those people who ignores things she doesn't like.

Annie and Chrissy sorry to read that you are both having a bad time, I pray it improves.

Musing on health anxiety and wondering if it could be masking something else? I am suggesting this because I have been known to become anxious about something which wasn't as important as the real problem which I was trying to ignore. Hope that makes sense.

You all seem to be in a much worse condition than me at the moment and I feel helpless. As mums we think we can fix everything for everyone but some things just can't be fixed.

No, car not fixed, gone on DH's list of things he will get round to one day . I realise I am out of date but still think he will get better service for things to do with cars than I will.
