Is it possible to have an undiagnosed UTI for a long time?

It's not overactive bladder is it? The symptoms sound similar.

I've had it since DD was born and I've never been able to pinpoint a cause. I'm convinced it's linked to the menopause.

Sounds as though you're better now so let's hope it's sorted.

Did you have any treatment for the leg ulcer?
The vomiting is often a side effect of a serious UTI, just wondering if antibiotics for the leg just held the UTI at bay for a while.
As tickingbird states it’s a common symptom of menopause.
I take D Mannose daily as a preventative measure.

You can get s UTI at anytime especially when female and post menopause.

Over a year ago I had a bad leg ulcer infection that caused me to vomit and retch for days. When that calmed down I found that my peeing was different. It tended to be urgent, not much and also at night. I told the practice nurse about these changes but she shrugged it off. I thought the violent retching had changed things down below. Last week I had to provide a routine urine sample and received a call to say I had a UTI and needed antibiotics. I didn't feel any different. After the anti biotics I feel better in myself than I have for a very long time, and get through the night without a problem. I'm not blaming anybody, just interested in whether this bug had sat quietly around for months.
