flutterby, so happy for you that all went well over Christmas and New Year, you must be tired but you got through it and enjoyed it. You were so stressed but still took it all on . You certainly must have a. ? x

Doodle thank you I am on the mend don’t know how I got hear but I have and so pleased with my self.. I find it hard to get out of bed I really struggle with the mornings I think it goes with depression/ anxiety in most people, and the dark mornings don’t help we will soon see the nights drawing out by the end of January.. I like all our seasons for different reasons but not the dark night/ mornings ... wishing you all a good weekend

Thanks flutterby. Glad you had a good time. Take things easy. I don’t like the dark mornings either. I find it hard to make myself get out of bed.

Happy New Year Annie, Doodle and friends. Well the last of my visiting family left today. I am pleased to,say the visit went really well but I am now shattered.
When I think of how anxious I was beforehand - oh how I wish I had had a crystal ball and I would have seen all went well.
Now to put all the decorations etc back and get house back to normal but you know what I am not going to rush to do it all in one go. I am going to do it bit by bit (is that really me talking!).
Like you all I really hope and pray we make progress in 2020.
Dark mornings, dark nights and awful weather does not help lighten the mood but at least we have this forum and the lovely understanding friends that go with it.
Early bed for me tonight.

I have the same old January blues, I so dislike the month, have done for years. My poor parents , every year they heard
‘I hate January ‘, my mum would reply ‘we know’, my dad -
‘Third week and you will see the difference’ . So I am telling
myself that.

Annie I hope and pray you find a way to recover soon..
I am getting there with my illness walking a lot better now hope it’s good news when I go to see the neurologist on the 8th pray this will be a turning point for me..
I get so angry for feeling like I do, I just like so many on hear I think, want so much to be shall I say feel normal again but I will not let this beat me I will keep plodding on.
I get so much from you Annie, as I do every one on this thread (long my it rain) I will not be beaten thank you all

Joce you did so well last year , hold onto that my love, you
will do it again, you have had a set back from illness.

My set back was the wretched landline phone and internet,
anxiety soared, no way to contact the careline if I had a problem such as a fall, or the smoke alarm went off, and difficulty getting on line , emails and pm’s very few could be
sent. I felt so cut off from the outside world.

Am now working out a new plan to recover from the agoraphobia.

I would also like to thank Annie for all her support and wise words when I have needed them, thank you Annie. And of course everyone else that has been there for me thank you. I am grateful for your support and long may it last.. God bless us all.

You are all very kind but our gratitude goes to Batty who started ‘Black Dog’, sadly she left the forum, not from anything
posted on ‘Black Dog’.

I will write a wish list sharon , I am sure I will get support from all here.

How true sharon. annie always seems to find the right words to comfort and support. You are our rock annie ?

I don’t like New Years Eve. We got engaged , made plans as young couples do. Two hopes came true, our darling daughters .

I no longer stay up to see the new year in since Catherine died, but I relive my childhood, ! Go to bed and put on my radio,
come midnight - May we all at the BBC wish you a Happy New Year, and straight into the news as usual. When I was a child I would be allowed to stay up with my parents and hear the very same words ?

Landline now working, am upping the internet ,no idea what
the correct term is, fed up of being thrown off line and having
problems with emails and pm’s.
