Doodle my granddaughter called today, much laughter ,
she said they would call tomorrow but will see, she hadn’t
seen her brother and sister.

The sherry, carrot and mince pie are so important.

I am feeling slightly better today. I have been very busy at work I want to thank everyone of you for making me feel welcome.
I hope all of you start to feel better and do your best to enjoy or get through Christmas.

Blessings to all on Christmas day. Wishing everyone peace and peace of mind in there home today.

Last night at Mass l heard a beautiful rendition of Oh Holy Night. I think myself it is the hymn of Christmas. If anyone wishes to Google a good version on YouTube it will come up and l think and hope that anyone will find it a most uplifting and spiritual experience. It is just a thought.

Just spent a lovely day with family but so so sad. DGS is unhappy (although in good spirits today) and so are his mum and dad. Nothing we can do but pray for them. Wish some good things would come their way.

My three grandchildren and son in law spent time with me
today, such mixed feelings, we laughed and had a lovely time
but there is someone missing and that hurts x

Oh annie how lovely they all came. I know it must be a sad feeling too that your daughter was missing but just think how happy she must have been in heaven looking down on her family together with you. x

I had a lovely few days with my DD SIL and GD. I love that little girl so much my heart will burst. Then today was the dreaded day...they went home. My heart breaks as I can only see her once a month ( money, Job, Life) I am so grateful for that time but i just wish it was more..weekly would do. If I lived nearer i would pick her up from school a couple of times a week but sadly no. I hope christmas was good to you my friends and may 2020 brings you joy xx

I have slept part of today, been having broken nights sleep

annie she is only 3 so no fb yet but I do video call her numerous times a month I love it. I can go whenever I like I just cant afford it. My dream is to buy a house near them so I can see her all the time x

Hi Annie I am also having some bad night sleep.. like you very broken sleep. Don’t know how you or the next day Annie but I don’t function very well at all when I have a bad nite

I am exhausted. Been a very emotional couple of days. Very sad and very happy at the same time. I feel as though I have been through an emotional roller coaster. I am not going to bed early as I have been busy for 2 days and am now trying to wind down. Will probably have a lie in in the morning.
Hope you are all ok. Went to church yesterday morning and said a prayer for all the Black Dog gang.

Christmas can be stressful, it has passed .

I listened to The Queens Speech and when she spoke of
‘small steps’ my thoughts immediately came here to our small
steps x

I agree annie. We all have different reasons for being stressed.
I heard a man in the car park the other night talking (shouting) on the phone to someone (presumably a relative of his) telling him to make his f wife shut the f up and not to keep saying you don’t have any kids to worry about. I couldn’t help but feel theirs was not going to be a Merry Christmas!
We had a lovely day with all the family together. So lovely to see my DGS with my granddaughters. They have always got on well and we had lots of laughter today. Nice to see him smiling. He has such worries.

I can see what the thread is about.
This is very difficult.
If you go too deeply into how bad you feel it is not helpful and getting out of this black dog mode is difficult.
Do try to find some positives. Says me who is feeling very low at present.
Do look after yourself.

Hi Annie I for one are doing ok, hope you are doing well.. hope everyone is doing ok..

So glad you are doing well joce it’s nice to hear.
We have a worrying time at the moment but family are being supportive and it’s so nice to know they are doing all they can to help. We have had a situation over Christmas and are waiting the outcome. I am as usual worrying for England as they say. It would be so nice to have some peace.
That’s why it’s so nice to hear from you joce. We all need some hope.

Hi Annie, Doodle and friends just popping in to say Merry Christmas to all. I’ve and am having a busy time with family visiting. Tonight I have come to bed early with a bowl of Neapolitan ice cream. I am tired of cooking and still,have another week of entertaining to do. “Where are the take away menus I ask’?. Think there will be a few meals out or take away’s in. Take care all. X
