Annie have you though about false grass, we have just put some more put down over concrete we had some down last year we loved it it cleans with the hose pipe comes up like new less work cutting it look good.

Someone has to climb the ladder or our garden will get out of hand. It is probably only an hour or so's work but really needs doing. It's a lovely sunny garden but I can't enjoy it if it gets overgrown.

Nonnie I am doing the planning and come summer sitting in it, younger granddaughter wants to do bedding plants and gardener will do ŵeeding and planting the shrubs and two trees I will have my brother collect from garden centre . I have bought the daftest little garden table s/h, the top is a sunflower . Sorted ?

Planning what to do with the garden is a very positive step but don't try to do too much in one go as I did this morning! I love my garden but need to go up a ladder for some of it and can't bring myself to do so.

Bluesky I think worrying when we have little to worry about is a form of learned behaviour, we have worries , they pass but we then seem to look for for something to worry about x

Alexa, I am now going to have my garden, when I moved here naturally it was the garden which pleased the previous
Tenant, last year volenteers did the garden as they thought it should be, I nodded my head agreement because they were helping. Now I am taking my garden back, it isn’t secluded, it’s, concrete, gravel and a plain wooden fence . Will now choose some trees, shrubs and climbers, and have a higgly,piggly area to sit in.

Thanks for your concern Alexa but our mattress is lovely and so is the person I share it with! He used to snore but rarely does now since we agreed that a gentle nudge would stop him and it seems to have stopped him altogether over a period of time! I can't blame anyone else or anything else, it must be my fault. Trouble is that, no matter how hard I try to find out what I am doing wrong, in my life as well as my sleep, I simply can't work it out.

Nonnie, I don't think you are ranting I find this most interesting.

I understand that some people have atypical balance of the brain chemicals that cause alternating waking and sleeping. However you say that you are very tired and awake.
Apologies if I seem to nag, but is your mattress soft enough?

Alexa I have good sleep hygiene and have read up on it and even done a short course but nothing helps. The one thing I don't do is get up when I can't sleep because it is suggested to do something until you feel tired but I lie there yawning and feeling exhausted so that wouldn't work for me. Always had a bedtime routine, never had a TV in the bedroom, stop coffee at lunch time, rarely drink alcohol, no large meals at any time of day etc. Nothing works and I feel nauseous most of the time as well. Sorry, ranting again.

There's little doubt about it! Sleep hygiene is most important for one thing.

All my best wishes to everyone who feels low. This time of year I start to get low because the hay fever is starting and it takes me back to worrying about revision. Stupid. That was 60 years ago.
What do other people find helps? I know Charles Dickens used to go for long walks.

anniebach, I hope you will come to feel that your back garden is a secure refuge, as |I do about my back garden. Please tell us if you enjoy your garden at night . I love mine late in the evening when the blackbird is singing.

When I first got my house I planned the back garden to be as secluded as possible. Are you pleased with your new fence?

It seems odd to me that anxiety comes at a particular time of the day, because that is not how it happens to me. I need something to trigger mine, and it doesn't take much. I wonder if there is a historical reason for anxiety at a particular time?

Does anyone else wonder if there is a physical reason for our illness? Every now and again I Google to try to find one but everything seems to have symptoms I don't have. CFS has joint pain but I only have one dodgy knee. Post Polio Syndrome is the same and, anyway, no cure for it. I'm told my insomnia is because I am worrying all the time but I don't think I am, I just think I am very tired and awake! I am always trying to find ways of getting better but it seems a hopeless task. Sorry just rambling, ignore me, you all have your own troubles.

Hi all. I've recently started having night time anxiety, this time without any particular worry. In the past it used to happen if I was worried about health matters mine or the close family, work or even travel which I used to love. Now luckily I have nothing real to think about but I do wake early hours of the morning worrying about all sort of imaginary problems.

Your dear friend , I so understand, my closest friend, been close since todlers , a few years ago she was diagnosed with
‘Non hodgekins’ made a full recovery , but the worry was grim. Hope your dear friend’s Results are good x

Just to say l am thinking of everyone who has morning anxiety. It is very unpleasant but if it does come it also goes. Try and be task orientated in the morning if possible.

Has anyone had any experience of this and that is being around friends for instance who have neither depression or anxiety and thus may have little understanding of your life. It seems to me as if there is a large gap between your life and there life and just at times it can feel uncomfortable and triggering..

Would be interested to know has anyone experienced this.

I do hope your daughter get on alright tomorrow.. my granddaughter has been for test today, on her kidneys got to wait again now till she goes to she the professor from children’s hospital fingers crossed.. and my dear friend is waiting for her results, I am so worried about them.. it just seems to be one thing after another for us all.. hope you sleep well Dragonfly big hugs to you. So sorry to hear Annie and Joce that you are suffering at the moment. I have good days and bad days and never know what it is going to be until I get up.
Yesterday was bad, no motivation and felt anxious all day.
Went to the hospital today and saw a lovely doctor who reassured me so hopefully I can be patient for the next few months.
Tomorrow my 40 year old daughter is having a hip replacement so more anxiety. It seems never ending.
I hope you both have a good day tomorrow.

Aww Annie bless you and thank you. You always think of others.. some days I can eat but most day not till late afternoon. It’s the fear that takes over, now I can’t even make my self go to the doctors, I think the best think I could do is change doctors. I would send you tones and tones if hugs helped Annie and to many more on hear, think we all need some write now x
