Hip dysplasia

My granddaughter is 8weeks old and has hip dysplasia. She’s in NZ so it’s winter now and very hilly where they live. Any advice?

Two of mine had that , first was in plasters for 9 months , second just had splints for a few months , so treatment varies so much , they are both adults now and have no problems resulting from their hip

She’s in a harness which makes dressing her warmly quite difficult

By the time they are about 2, they are pretty right. Dressing them is fiddly at first but parents get used to it. This online shop sells clothes for children with hip dysplasia - in case you or your DIL doesn't sew. www.slumbersac.co.uk/hip-pose-hip-dysplasia-clothing-for-children/
