donating umbilical cord blood appeal

I 've heard of someone with multiple myeloma who is having an umbilical cord stem cell transplant. Because they couldn't get a good match in this country half the cells are coming from Germany and the rest from Russia. We shan't know for some time whether it has been successful.

If you have a new grandchild on the way, please take a look at the link. Lila is the child of a colleague of my daughter so I am helping to spread the word about the immense value of donating cord blood. My daughter is making arrangements to donate following birth of next baby in March. I had no idea it was so precious!
