High CRP/Endocarditis

Hi thought this would be a good place to ask about CRP being high and Endocarditis.

My husband has had Endocarditis and after taking the Doctors advice my husband went ahead and had surgery to replace the heart valve that was effected

Three weeks after the operation and his CRP numbers which apparently detect inflammation or infection are at 170

If any has any experience of any of the above I would be very interested to hear about it. Thank you so much in advance
