I have recently been on a course of Vit D after a blood test showed i was lacking. The gp gave me a high dose to take for a couple of months now i take an over the counter version. I have to go back in a few weeks time to have another blood test done to see if level has gone back to normal. I have noticed that the dermatitis that i had on my shin and hands has completely disappeared which is amazing as it was so itchy at times i could have torn the skin off my hands. Apparently VitD is also good for maintaining our muscle strenght, bones, and teeth.

as there have been put forward many reasons why even a 'varied' diet might not result in a good intake of vitamins and mineral (don't forget the mineral BTW)
