Avon make a very good foot cream. Works well on my horrible heals.

You can buy special socks that help absorb the cream; I bought some from M&S a couple of years ago. I think you can also buy special socks that have something in them that help rehydrate your feet in some way. I sometimes can't believe how hideous my feet and toenails have become recently [like my hands only worse] . Just be careful when using cream when you walk anywhere without shoes though, cause I put lots of moisturiser on my legs and feet one night and the following day when I went for a sauna I nearly slipped up.

Good old Vaseline is great. A big handful rubbed in at night and then put socks over to protect the bedding and in the morning, baby soft tootsies! Same for hands with protective gloves.

Wonder Waitrose Baby Bottom Butter, cheap, non-allergenic and really works too. I used it after leg/foot in plaster for three months and within a few days I had feet as soft as the proverbial baby's bottom. Wear a pair of socks to help it soak in, bingo!

Aveeno creams do the job for me, non irritant and not too greasy. If you haven't seen it in Boots or supermarket just google it.

Soak in warm water and oil. I am lucky enough to have a OH who will also rub/massage cream into them in fact he is waiting as we speak for me to have my bath and then he goes into action - absolute bliss.

L'Occitane do a beautiful foot cream. It's expensive so I ask for it at birthdays and Christmas. It soaks in quickly but I massage it in last thing at night. Smells blissful too.

Thanks to all. I have in the past tried the Vaseline and the cream with urea but have got lazy about it recently. Not keen on socks in bed as get hot feet.

My ultimate fantasy is somewhere i could go and get my feet soaked in warm olive oil (a la Jerry Hall) for several hours. Then someone would come and take the oil away, wash my feet and send me on my way.

Will content myself with getting something of everything you have all recommended and be disciplined with the socks. (Making list - whitewave?)

You can buy what is called a foot spa, and add oils to it and then soak your feet with the massaging effect going full tilt! I have read about them and keep meaning to get one.Failing that, perhaps we can all take turns waiting for Mr Whitewave to come round with his healing hands(for a small fee)what do you think?
