Have just had a visit from my DD who has this morning received the news that the biopsy taken from her breast following her finding a lump has been found to be benign. However the Doctor has said he wants to do another ' just to be sure' as you can imagine I am beside myself with worry as she didn't tell me before as I am known to be the worlds greatest worrier. My question is would it be standard procedure in the NHS to do this procedure twice? Any advice or help would be appreciated I cant help but think they wouldn't do it twice just to be sure but then again he wouldn't have said the result was benign if there was a doubt....would he?
