It is only too easy to overdo it ginny - hope the shopping trip went well.

I have been quite tired today, but I expected that. Normality is hopefully creeping my way.

That's great . Have quiet day today. I have been recovering well but did too much on Monday and paid for it on Tuesday with my knee being more painful and feeling very tired. I am off to do some Christmas shopping today with D D 3 , she has booked me a wheel chair ! If you hear of a middle aged lady causing chaos in Milton Keynes , you'll know who it is !

How lovely you were able to go to your GS Christmas play Mishap. Even if you are really tired tomorrow it will be worth it. These are some memories you can't get again. Well done you for getting through it all. I do hope you sleep well tonight and don't suffer tomorrow

Wow, that was quite a day Mishap especially thinking as you did yesterday that you didn't want to go out at all today.

The good days, what you had today, will be come more and more common as you build up your strength and energy levels and you will feel less tired. When you ever hit a slump, remember what you achieved today and know that you can and will do it again.

Well done mishap, that definitely sounds like at least four steps forward, so don't worry too much if there's a slight movement in the reverse direction tomorrow, you know now you can do it

Well - I have some achievements for my list today:

- I walked up my lane along the length of my garden - and back again. It is quite a challenge, because, although not far, it is very steep.
- I went to GS's Christmas play.
- I called in briefly at the village market.

I am very very tired now - my stamina is zilch; and I am finding it hard to trust what I have done as being a step forward, as I have achieved things before and then been a weeping heap the next day. But I have to hope that as I gradually do more I will feel able to trust the progress as real progress and not just a positive blip.

I have a new appointment for my echocardiogram and it is before the clinic appointment so they will have all the information they need.

Time for a snooze now I think.

Thanks for your support everyone. I am hoping to go - OH is coming and he will drive so we can leave when we need to, and my DD has arranged for an adult chair for me to sit on as I cannot manage the children's ones.

It is good to have people rooting for me through this minefield - it is greatly appreciated.

Mishap, I echo the thought that you are a fighter and you will come through this - it WILL NOT last for ever. Your friends on GN are behind you all the way and wishing we could be more actual help. If I could, I'd be waiting outside to whisk you off home tomorrow when you have had enough. If you decide to go, can your daughter arrange for you to have easier access? Children's Christmas things are so uplifting and joyful if you can manage it without knackering tiring yourself out too much. (((hugs)))

Good morning Mishap. Just caught up. Yesterday sounded a bit fraught and upsetting, I hope today goes better even if you decide not to go to the play. Yesterday must have really taken it out of you. At the moment you can probably do with a day off in between outings.

At least if you do decide to go you should get a good seat with your crutches an' all. Is you your DH going too? If as Agus suggests you leave half way will you be able to go straight home? You'll feel more able if you have a get out route.

Mishap Your cancellation could understandably be the reason for this slump but it has been rectified.

Wait until morning before deciding whether or not you feel up,to,attending DGS's Christmas Play. Even if you only go along for half of the performance, you will probably be surprised how helpful people will be, doing what they can helping with access and seating. If you really don't feel up,to it, looking after yourself is your priority.

I'm sorry to hear your still feeling so low. It's such a terrible dark place to be. You won't be there forevermishap You come through your posts as a fighter and post so positively on the threads. At the moment you can't see the woods for the trees so it's hard for you to see that. I rooting for you along with the rest of us.

Thank you for your fellow feeling. I have just been to the dentist and got back to find a message from the hospital offering me an echocardiogram on 13th - a Saturday - and this is before my clinic appointment so this should be OK.

Got back from dentist and have been fighting the weepiness again - I will talk to GP tomorrow about trying the sertraline again now that I am on the beta blocker. It is very frustrating the way it always comes back and is blocking my progress at every turn.

My DD wants me to go with her to DGS's Christmas play tomorrow and the sad thing is that I do bot know whether I can face it. I get so tired and weak, and the access and seating there are difficult on crutches. Before all this happened I would have been thrilled to go and it demonstrates to me the extent of the problem.

I truly am trying to rise above this but it is a major struggle - one moment I think I am clawing my way out and the next I am back on the floor. All I can do is to plod on.

Oh Mishap This just should not be happening and I am so upset for you.
Can your GP intervene and express the urgency of your procedure in relation to results being necessary for your appointment on the 18th.

Given that your procedure was cancelled, I am hoping you are top of the list for the first immediate slot.

Arghhhh it never rains.... so sorry to hear about that. This sort of crapulence really does not help lift spirits.
