Eye creams with UV filters.

No7 cream has made the skin round my eyes feel a bit sore [I think]. Trouble is, I just want a UV cream; not bothered with it getting rid of wrinkles. Best to ask for a sample before you buy. I might just pop into every Boots I pass and ask for a sample [was given quite a bit today] but I can obviously only do that once at each shop unless I go in disguise. Hadn't thought of trying to put sunscreen as close to my eye as possible .

I am in the same position Henetha. It does make you very cautious about skin protection and I wore Garnier BB cream all summer because of this. I think it was factor 20, the strongest I could find and I did put it gently around my eyes. I hadn't thought of a separate eye cream Tegan, you have me worried now. Off to Boots tomorrow!

I did think that but it's the only one I could find. Maybe it's because the eye area is so sensitive. Of course, a lot of foundation has UV filters and if I'm wearing make up I'll have that on as well.

Is SPF 15 really adequate if you feel you're at risk of skin cancer?

I thought it had to be 30 or more to be effective.

I think Euceryl make one as well [there are probably loads more; the Olay one that I used to use may do as well]. I just switched to the Simple one a while back because it was quite pleasant to use. Then again I might develop the Jackie Kennedy look and wear RayBans all the time!

Being also a paranoid hypochondriac health freak, especially where moles and freckles etc. are concerned, I'm off to Boots tomorrow to get some of that eye cream. What a brilliant find. My mother died of malignant melanoma and I've had 4 dodgy moles removed and am now awaiting an appointment regarding another one which has appeared.
I'm glad you mentioned this, Tegan. You are right to keep an eye on your freckle... chances are it's probably nothing, but if it is then catching it early is vital. Everyone should check their skin, and wear spf cream.
